Benin/A church member poisons her pastor

In Benin, more precisely in Godomey, in the commune of Abomey-Calavi, a pastor died following the poisoning of one of his church members 

While he went to the home of the faithful to comfort in prayer the latter who had lost her child, the pastor was finally poisoned by his grieving faithful.

According to the Benin Web TV newspaper, the testimonies collected indicate that the faithful tragically lost a child last weekend and on Monday, the pastor and his wife went to her home to support and console her. On Tuesday, while the pastor's wife was busy at home, the pastor allegedly visited his grieving faithful to comfort her through prayer. 

When the pastor arrived, the woman allegedly served him juice instead of water. A few minutes later, the pastor died. This is how the alleged perpetrator of the pastor’s death called his wife asking her to come see her husband. The inside of the victim's mouth would have taken on a green color immediately. 

“The suspect, taken to the Godomey police station, Pk 14, allegedly confessed to the facts with which she is accused. She admitted to unintentionally administering a lethal liquid to the pastor. According to her statement, she was unaware that there was a deadly substance that fell into the juice served to the pastor,” the newspaper wrote. 

According to Bénin web Tv, the woman is placed in police custody at the police station and will be brought before the prosecutor of the Avomey-Calavi Court in the days to come.
